Za Perfect in Bloom Launch

Za has a couple of interesting new launches this August! I will be sharing them with you in the post to follow, do keep a lookout for the great deals they will be having too :)
Just a short introduction about Za, it is a simple, yet elaborately designed brand to draw out your unlimited potential with the minimum products to achieve your own a-to z. Both skincare and makeup products allow one to produce a variety of finish from natural to dramatic while maximizing your natural beauty.

I'm sure many of you have heard or even used Za before, their packaging have always been simple yet pretty in their logo colours, pink & white. For this upcoming revamped collection in August, they took an alternative approach and collaborated with a famous Japanese artist, Ohgushi, who's major works are featured on brands such as Emilio Pucci, McCafe and more!
The theme for Za x Ohgushi is "Let your flower shine", this limited edition launch featuring Ohgushi's floral designs can be seen on the Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation, Deep Cleansing Oil and Smooth Cleansing Oil. The design is inspired by Ohgushi to Asian women who strive to overcome challenges in their lives and their way of living reminds him of a beautifully blooming "flower" which allow their inner flower to shine.

Za Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation is the No.1 Selling Foundation for 12 years and counting! It features Perfect 10 such as light spreading, smooth application, high covering power, even finishing, reduction of pore visibility, even skintone, correct dull skin, non-greasy over time, high staying power and retaining of brightness. Plus, the recent awards for this product includes Beauty all Stars 2014, Cleo Beauty Hall of Fame 2013 and Women's Weekly Best Beauty Buys 2013!

As for the cleansing oils, both products's ingredients include extra virgin olive oil but differs slightly in terms of the functions: Deep Cleansing Oil helps to remove stubborn makeup, pore impurities and clogged sebum, whereas Smooth Cleansing Oil has a smooth texture that can be rinsed off immediately without feeling of stickiness. I would recommend Deep Cleansing Oil for those with combination skin :)

Starting from 21 Aug to 5 Nov, Za will be releasing limited edition Beauty in Bloom Sets which comes with a limited edition case, two foundation refills, and a pretty lunch tote. They are available in blue or red, for $33.50 (U.P. $60).
*Tote not included in the second set, for illusration purposes only :)
Then from 5 Nov to 25 Dec, another 2 sets will be released in time for Christmas, these would make great gifts! These sets come with the limited edition case, two foundation refills, and either a Deep Cleansing Oil (for the blue set) or a Smooth Cleansing Oil (for the red set), will be available for $43.50 (U.P. $72.80).

In addition to the affordable pricing of these sets, you stand a chance to win a set of gorgeous jewelry worth $2,000 from Citigems! More information on Za Singapore's Facebook :)
The other new launch by Za will be their Perfect Solution Whitening Serum! After a recent survey, the top 3 concerns of women in their early 30s are 'dullness', 'spots', and 'freckles'. Many women have high aging and whitening needs, so Za developed a high performance beauty essence to cater to these concerns.

Za Perfect Solution Youth Whitening Serum is formulated with natural ingredients to give firmness to skin, nurturing and strengthening it to achieve youthful, perfect skin brimming with firmness, resilience and translucence. The cutting-edge ingredient in this new product is Retino-White complex (Retinol derivative + 4MSK) that will not only improve surface spots and winkles but also the hidden melanin and aging signs in the skin.

This will be available at all Watsons stores starting from 21 Aug 2014, priced at $29.90! This step can be added to your existing skincare range after using toner and before moisturiser.

Review: Owndays PC (Blue Shield) Lenses

A few months ago, I posted a guide & review on Owndays Singapore and mentioned that I would like to get PC lenses with them as well as do a pair of eye glasses in Korea/Japan and I did both! Now I have 3 pairs of spectacles which is alittle too much. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about not being able to see if I were to lose one pair of spectacles!  Today I'll be reviewing on their PC aka blue shield lenses. They seemed to be emphasizing more on this type of lens lately and I didn't find a review on this so I decided to be the first to start. Owndays PC lenses come with a slight tinted brown colour and blue coating. The purpose of these lenses is to cut down a certain amount of blue light that is being emitted from electronic devices such as computer, mobile phones, TV, etc.  (Picture credited to Owndays Singapore)
You might be wondering, what is blue light and why do we emphasis so much on it now? Blue light is a type of light that is blue in colour(like duh.…

Review & Guide: Owndays Singapore

If you've been to Korea or Japan, you might have heard of getting a pair of spectacles done within the same day or even within minutes! Based on reviews I found online and through friends, it can cost less than $100 for a pair and I have been tempted to get mine done there ever since.

Earlier last year, Owndays decided to expand and opened its first shop in Singapore. To many, it was a relatively new concept to get spectacles within the same day but to me, it's like finally, I have a chance to experience it without having to travel!

A basic introduction to those who are not familiar with the store. Owndays is a brand from Japan that offers all-in-one price (frame + 1.6 high index aspheric lenses) at $98-$198. With 1,500 styles to choose from and processing time of 20 minutes, you can not only find a pair of spectacles to correct your vision but also change them according to different occasions.

I love their open concept. Unlike most optical…

Guide to KORAIL's O Train & V Train

Sightseeing trains are gaining popularity in Korea and it is one of the things you have to try when you're there! Today I'll be sharing on O Train & V Train which started its operations sightly more than a year ago on April 2013. These trains journey through Korea's inland valleys with the O-train looping around the central inland region, running through the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do, Gangwon-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do. While the V-train, connecting Buncheon in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Cheolam in Gangwon-do Province, runs through scenic valleys. Detailed information on these trains can be found on VisitKorea.

I realized there is a lack of information on the site as to how you can purchase the tickets online or offline and how to best plan the route if you would like to take both trains plus return to Seoul on the same day. So here's a simple post on how I purchased my tickets on the spot and the mistake I made(and you can avoid if you read this post), but …
