Cherie Fantasy: Ma Cherie x Majolica Majorca

August has been a great month, tempted to say it's the best month of the year so far! :)

To add on to it, I was invited to Cherie Fantasy, an event brought together by Ma Cherie & Majolica Majorca, two of well known Japanese brands which I'm sure most of my readers know. Thanks for the invitation to this fun and interactive event held at MU Parlour!

I attended this event with Jocelyn, whom I've met at BioNike event a few months back. It was nice to bump into a few other bloggers I've seen at previous events too, didn't manage to take pictures with all of them though. Here's a picture of me with Jocelyn & Sherlyn :)

Upon entering the cosy cafe, we were each given an invitation key card with a picture they obtained from our blogs; I agree that my picture needs to be changed soon. The key card was  part of a mini game afterwards, how exciting! The whole cafe was decorated with the pretty setups and mini games they prepared for the bloggers, can't resist taking pictures of the place before the presentation started.

Unfortunately, my camera died halfway through the event. Thanks Sherlyn and Jocelyn for helping me to take pictures of me with the games! I'm impressed with the effort the organizers put into making this event a fun and interactive one. After the short and informative presentation about Ma Cherie, Majolica Majorca and Hervelvetvase, we got to try out the mini games available. First off at the Mystery Magic Machine where we had to insert our key card into the box for a surprise! What amuses me was the fact that the machine was actually manned by someone inside, it must be really stuffy to be in the box the whole time!

I received a Hair Gelee Mist (Airy Mush) which helps to make the hair look voluminous and airy soft, can't wait to try this out. The other two games were crossword puzzle and guessing the number of products in an enclosed box which we didn't manage to take much pictures of. But I have to thank Jocelyn for helping me with the crossword puzzle ^^

The table of Ma Cherie goodies! The theme for that day was black and red so this table of pink goodness really stood out from the rest of the setups there. For those who are not that familiar with Ma Cherie, it was launched in 2012 in Singapore and currently offers both in-bath and out-of-bath products. The core ingredient of Champagne Honey Gelee allows females to experience a sweet and romantic fragrance while pampering their hair which sweetens the lives of girls everywhere.

This fall, Ma Cherie welcomes the addition of a treatment and styling range, with a total of 6 new items to be introduced. The new offerings contain treatment and styling products catered to a variety of different hair types. The pink and floral designs on the containers hint at the romantic fruity fragrance signature to Ma Cherie products. The new range is already available in Watsons (just released on 22nd August), with the price ranging from $16.90 - $17.90.

I love the scent of the latest series by Ma Cherie and how it makes my hair look tame, manageable and smell so great at the same time!

Not forgetting Majolica Majorca too, here's an introductory video before I tell you more about their new launch!

Majolica Majorca had launched their new collection titled "Fantastic Fantasy" in line with Autumn 2013 Fashion & Makeup Trend. Fashion trend consists of rich and fun colours associated with ‘baroque’ theme, as well as folklore-inspired fashion which is represented by exquisite embroidery and unique prints. As for the makeup trend, it emphasizes on the corner and width of the eyes to emulate a ‘cat-eye effect’. Rich-toned lip colours help to accentuate feminine lips and matching nail colours that complement your outlook and mood of the day.

This new launch already available in Watsons as of 22nd August, include the following products:
1. Lash Expander Edge Meister F (Black)
2.The Little Humming Book III

These 2 products got my attention during the presentation: Lash Expander Edge Meister F (Black) & The Little Humming Book III. The mascara actually uses new stiffer polymer film that enables lashes to stay curled longer and can be easily removed by lukewarm water so no need to worry about pulling out precious lashes during the removal process!

As for The Little Humming Book III, it just combines all 3 essential makeup product into one package! Imagine the space saved in your makeup pouch just by using this. It is a fun makeup palette book containing an eye cream base, 2 eye shadows and a lip gloss. That's not all, there's also a music sheet attached, something different from the usual cosmetic product packaging!

Get all these products at Watsons today! There's a Watsons sales coming up on 28th August, so don't forget to stock up on these lovely products ;)

Don't forget to "like" them for more updates on latest promotions and new product launches :)

Review: Owndays PC (Blue Shield) Lenses

A few months ago, I posted a guide & review on Owndays Singapore and mentioned that I would like to get PC lenses with them as well as do a pair of eye glasses in Korea/Japan and I did both! Now I have 3 pairs of spectacles which is alittle too much. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about not being able to see if I were to lose one pair of spectacles!  Today I'll be reviewing on their PC aka blue shield lenses. They seemed to be emphasizing more on this type of lens lately and I didn't find a review on this so I decided to be the first to start. Owndays PC lenses come with a slight tinted brown colour and blue coating. The purpose of these lenses is to cut down a certain amount of blue light that is being emitted from electronic devices such as computer, mobile phones, TV, etc.  (Picture credited to Owndays Singapore)
You might be wondering, what is blue light and why do we emphasis so much on it now? Blue light is a type of light that is blue in colour(like duh.…

Review & Guide: Owndays Singapore

If you've been to Korea or Japan, you might have heard of getting a pair of spectacles done within the same day or even within minutes! Based on reviews I found online and through friends, it can cost less than $100 for a pair and I have been tempted to get mine done there ever since.

Earlier last year, Owndays decided to expand and opened its first shop in Singapore. To many, it was a relatively new concept to get spectacles within the same day but to me, it's like finally, I have a chance to experience it without having to travel!

A basic introduction to those who are not familiar with the store. Owndays is a brand from Japan that offers all-in-one price (frame + 1.6 high index aspheric lenses) at $98-$198. With 1,500 styles to choose from and processing time of 20 minutes, you can not only find a pair of spectacles to correct your vision but also change them according to different occasions.

I love their open concept. Unlike most optical…

Guide to KORAIL's O Train & V Train

Sightseeing trains are gaining popularity in Korea and it is one of the things you have to try when you're there! Today I'll be sharing on O Train & V Train which started its operations sightly more than a year ago on April 2013. These trains journey through Korea's inland valleys with the O-train looping around the central inland region, running through the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do, Gangwon-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do. While the V-train, connecting Buncheon in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Cheolam in Gangwon-do Province, runs through scenic valleys. Detailed information on these trains can be found on VisitKorea.

I realized there is a lack of information on the site as to how you can purchase the tickets online or offline and how to best plan the route if you would like to take both trains plus return to Seoul on the same day. So here's a simple post on how I purchased my tickets on the spot and the mistake I made(and you can avoid if you read this post), but …
