Lashionista Launch Event @ Zouk

Maybelline presents An Arresting Fashion Revolution
In Collaboration with Zouk
If you’re a fashion-forward woman with lashings of confidence and oodles of attitude, the fashion police have news for you. You are summoned to the unleashing of Lashionista, the criminally lengthening and long-wearing mascara from the world’s eye makeup leader, Maybelline New York. Zouk and Maybelline come together on this eve of public holiday where you can expect unshackled fashion, riotous partying, and mass demonstrations against boredom and blah!!
It would be a crime to miss it.
By invite only.
Information taken from Zouk website.

Thanks to Dorcas from TC for this opportunity to be part of this awesome launch event by Maybelline for a new mascara- Lashionista! :D
I have to say I'm disappointed with Singpost, they lost my invites for this event! Luckily Dorcas replied my emails in time and I got in without having to queue. And talking about the queue, it was scary! I didn't manage to take a picture of it but it was much longer as compared to CKL event, at least 50% longer.

Back to the event, I'm thrilled to be invited and there were various activities happening that night which includes photo taking, makeup booths, flea market and runway! I bought O along and photo booth being near the entrance, we decided to take a picture there before entering Zouk. I wasn't prepared when they snapped the picture but we couldn't take a new one as they were rushing to prevent long queues. Mum said I look better when I wasn't prepared for camera. Lol (shall upload the picture later), here you go:

Next, we went over to the makeover station. We were directed there by "fashion police" who were in pink police uniforms, it's cute. Haha I noticed one of them had little stars drawn next to their eyes and I knew I had to get that too :p I did mine first with special request for hearts and this gorgeous makeup artist drew a trail of hearts for me. They were so pretty that I couldn't stop taking pictures of it. It was drawn using Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner, my favourite eyeliner at the moment! You can draw precise lines and designs using the 0.05mm tip :)
I'm loving these pictures taken by O, thanks babe ^^
I'm glad we were one of the first few to get the makeover done, look at the queue. Oh and special mention, I want to thank to the 2 ladies who allowed O to go before them(doubt they'll read my blog but still...). We wandered out of the queue halfway as we were talking to this guy from LifestyleAsia. I did a runway for LeSportsac long ago and that's where I got to know about LifestyleAsia, loved the photo they took for me the other time ;)

In addition to the photo booth, makeover stations, there was a flea market by 5 online stores too! Catwalkclose and Hollyhoque are two of my favourite online labels but the area was too small for me to browse so we didn't wander into that area. Look at the crowd!
We went straight to the runway stage after O got her makeup done :) I think that photographer is kinda cute. Haha can't see his face in this shot anyway.
My outfit of the day:)
The theme was pink and that was the only top I could find, the colour combi doesn't look that bad right? ;)
DJ Rozz did a great job hosting the event!:) Xiaxue was there too but I didn't get to meet her upclose.
The runway started about half an hour late, maybe that was the reason they were told to walk faster. I didn't capture much pictures of the models from where I am standing because of the angle and the speed they are moving. Lol.
While the models change and prepare for the next outfit, Michelle Chong aka Golden Tan came on stage together with Larry to show us the makeup look using Hypercosmos eyeshadow and Lashionista. I love Michelle Chong, she's really entertaining and good at impersonating, you should catch Noose if you haven't already done so!
Maybelline really had everything planned out well. Not only were there gorgeous female models showcasing the latest outfits from the online labels, there were topless male models too! But I think they're a tad short, the female models are taller than them with heels on :p Additionally there was a short breakdance performance and A was part of it. Haha I was surprised to see him performing for the event!

Before I end off, here are the pretty hearts drawn by the makeup artist:

& I won a lovely thumbdrive in the shape of a lipstick from Chic Kiss Love, love it alot! :D

Anyway I'll do a review of Lashionista mascara in a separate post soon, till then. Nights lovelies^^

Review: Owndays PC (Blue Shield) Lenses

A few months ago, I posted a guide & review on Owndays Singapore and mentioned that I would like to get PC lenses with them as well as do a pair of eye glasses in Korea/Japan and I did both! Now I have 3 pairs of spectacles which is alittle too much. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about not being able to see if I were to lose one pair of spectacles!  Today I'll be reviewing on their PC aka blue shield lenses. They seemed to be emphasizing more on this type of lens lately and I didn't find a review on this so I decided to be the first to start. Owndays PC lenses come with a slight tinted brown colour and blue coating. The purpose of these lenses is to cut down a certain amount of blue light that is being emitted from electronic devices such as computer, mobile phones, TV, etc.  (Picture credited to Owndays Singapore)
You might be wondering, what is blue light and why do we emphasis so much on it now? Blue light is a type of light that is blue in colour(like duh.…

Review & Guide: Owndays Singapore

If you've been to Korea or Japan, you might have heard of getting a pair of spectacles done within the same day or even within minutes! Based on reviews I found online and through friends, it can cost less than $100 for a pair and I have been tempted to get mine done there ever since.

Earlier last year, Owndays decided to expand and opened its first shop in Singapore. To many, it was a relatively new concept to get spectacles within the same day but to me, it's like finally, I have a chance to experience it without having to travel!

A basic introduction to those who are not familiar with the store. Owndays is a brand from Japan that offers all-in-one price (frame + 1.6 high index aspheric lenses) at $98-$198. With 1,500 styles to choose from and processing time of 20 minutes, you can not only find a pair of spectacles to correct your vision but also change them according to different occasions.

I love their open concept. Unlike most optical…

Guide to KORAIL's O Train & V Train

Sightseeing trains are gaining popularity in Korea and it is one of the things you have to try when you're there! Today I'll be sharing on O Train & V Train which started its operations sightly more than a year ago on April 2013. These trains journey through Korea's inland valleys with the O-train looping around the central inland region, running through the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do, Gangwon-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do. While the V-train, connecting Buncheon in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Cheolam in Gangwon-do Province, runs through scenic valleys. Detailed information on these trains can be found on VisitKorea.

I realized there is a lack of information on the site as to how you can purchase the tickets online or offline and how to best plan the route if you would like to take both trains plus return to Seoul on the same day. So here's a simple post on how I purchased my tickets on the spot and the mistake I made(and you can avoid if you read this post), but …
